Everyone told me to buy a baguette in Paris, but as soon as I did, I realized (with mounting dread) that a baguette is, uh, a lot of bread. Like, way too much for one person to eat. (How do the French do it?? Does everyone just eat bread all the time???)

Then I thought: Who eats all the leftover baguettes…?
